Anyone that knows me for more than 5 minutes knows that I love Christmas. I love the music, the decorations, the Bath & Body Works scented candles, spending time with my family, and the fact that everyone seems to be a bit more cheerful around this time of year. It seems as though London shares my affinity for Christmas - every borough has some sort of Christmas decoration! Yesterday, I got off at Brixton Station (which is where I work) and there at the top of the stations stairs stood a huge ass Christmas tree - I about teared up! They also have a month and a half long event called, "Winter Wonderland" and it definitely lives up to the name. I had been eagerly awaiting to attend this event since I arrived back in September. There's games, rides, shows, food, and a Christmas market... basically my version of heaven!
Speaking of heaven... I had to get on a plane this week. I do not like planes at all, but I love my job and I love to travel... so off I went. I flew to Copenhagen to attend my first sales meeting with a company called DAY Home . On Wednesday I went to dinner with the designer, the company's management team, and the other agents from around Europe - everyone was incredibly nice and extremely welcoming! Out of the 8 courses that were served to us, I had about 1.5 of them - the bread and then some weird meat that I washed down with a bottle of wine. The following day was spent in a showroom where I learned about the Spring Summer 2017 collection - it is incredible and I want it all! It was a really great experience and it was cool that I was able to apply some of the things I learned from my product development, merchandise maths and textile courses! Other than being in a constant state of Christmas cheer, traveling for work, and Halima moving out... not much has happened.
Yes, Halima and her dick head boyfriend are finally gone! I don't know what happened or why she left, but I was taking the trash out the other night and when I walked back in I saw that all of her stuff was packed up - it is truly a Christmas miracle! Alright, sorry for the shit post... I swear I will spice it up and maybe tell you all about my Tinder game (or lack there of) on the next post!
Oh also, if you read this blog but don't follow Somewhere Agency on Instagram... SHAME. ON. YOU.
